Cedar Point Food Court

On our way to a one week stay in Kota Kinabalu, we made a quick stop-over in Johor Bahru. I needed to do some arrends in Johor Bahru and the kids enjoyed our last stay at the KSL resort, so we opted to stay there again. We had on previous stays tried some restaurants in and around the KSL area but never seen a genuine food court. My wife asked the hotel staff if they knew where in the area we might find a good food court, and the answer we got was Cedar Point Food Court. It was located some 600 meters from KSL, and just next to the Grand Paragon Hotel, and it was exactly the type of food court that we were looking for. The classical large plaza, surrounded by food vendors.

It offered mostly Chinese food but also some Malay, Indian and Western. When browsing around much of the food looked so delicious that it was hard to make a decision on what to choose. I went for the clay pot chicken rice, and boy did I make the right choice! This was the best clay pot dish I have ever had. The addition of chinese cured sausage and fish sauce made it an explosion of umami flavors.
